Flying Private

"The crew, the stewards and stewardesses, they were all rock and roll people. It wasn't like getting on a British Airways flight or anything like that. They were true rock and rollers, even the pilots."

Rick Savage says of these early days of plane travel, "It was the affirmation that you're really on the fast-track to super stardom if you like, because now you've got your own plane. And it was kind of exciting at first.”

Until a 1996 near-death "plane versus two storms" incident put the band back in their busses as much as possible.
